TRAINING Training on SCS is primarily to gain new techniques, the more time spent practicing or going over the techniques one knows, the more powerful they become, and though it is not the only way to do so, training is one of the easiest and most 'independent' ways to gain XP, which in turn allows you to learn more and more techniques. The more techniques your character has, the more options they gain in battle, and the closer they come to reaching the next power tier.
Training is fairly simple; create a thread which is marked with either [Training] or just [T] in order to distinguish it as such. You will then Role-play out learning/practicing the technique you wish to gain XP in.
Users learn most techniques at Level 1. A Level 1 techniques takes 100 XP to learn (Likewise, learning a technique whose starting level is higher than one, requires a higher amount of XP to learn; a Level 20 technique, for instance, would require 2000 XP to learn). Each technique learned requires 100 exp points in order to allow it to progress to the next level, and the next step up in capability.
Each Training Post that a user creates receives a dice roll of 1-100, which will determine how much experience they receive for that Technique. This process is referred to as Grading and is handled by staff. Simply PM a staff member when you have a technique you've trained that needs to be graded.
- FOR EXAMPLE
John Doe uses 100 XP to gain the Flash Step Technique, at Lv. 1. He creates a training thread. His first post receives a dice roll of 30. He now has 30/100 XP towards the next level of this technique. He will require another 70 exp from further training posts/dice rolls before he gains the Lv. 2 benefits of the Flash Step Technique.
Certain Custom Techniques, depending on how powerful they are, will not have multiple levels, and will not be capable of being trained to a level higher than what they were created at. This is determined on a case by case basis.

MISSIONS Users gain XP (Experience Points) for completing Missions as well. Missions can be designed by the user, though those who've taken up leadership roles IC (Shinigami Captains, Vice Captains, Leaders of Specialized Arrancar Groups, etc.) also create Missions of their own, sending out their lower ranked allies to complete tasks that may push one or several plots forward. A mission is essentially targeted roleplay, where the successful performance of a specific task or tasks is rewarded. Missions can yield a number of different rewards upon completion, and are ranked according to their difficulty and the amount of additional XP (gained through additional dice rolls/completing mission objectives) you may earn upon completing them.
EASY MISSIONS
[/i] are those which have the least amount of objectives (1-3) and are usually menial tasks, general guard duty, or other simple tasks which have a low risk of harming or placing your character in danger. These missions almost always involve objectives that will not require the user to travel outside of their specific realm, or even necessarily outside of specific safe zones, depending on the characters type/race. Easy Missions are always NDE (Non-Death Enabled).[/ul] Note: Very Weak and Weak ranked characters can take Easy Missions alone. Automatic 50 XP per 'Easy' Mission Objective that is completed.AVERAGE MISSIONS[/i] are those which have a slightly larger amount of objectives (4-6) and are usually a bit more difficult than simple chores. These missions may include rescue or for the user to engage in battle with PC/NPC characters or creatures, and may, though not often, call for the assistance of a Role-play moderator. Missions that involve meeting up with other PC characters, even characters from different races, would be considered 'Average' in difficulty. These missions sometimes involve objectives that will require the user to travel outside of their specific realm, or even outside of specific safe zones, depending on the characters type/race. Average missions can be either NDE or DE (Death Enabled) depending on the circumstance.[/ul] Note: Very Weak and Weak ranked characters must take Average Missions with at least one other person (Not an NPC). Below Average and Average ranked character can take Average Missions alone. Automatic 100 XP per 'Average' Mission Objective that is completed.HARD MISSIONS[/i] are those which have a large amount of objectives (7-9) and are daunting to complete. These missions can range from assassinations, to wartime duties, search and rescue, player-to-player combat, and situations that can seriously injure and even kill your character, if you are not careful. Missions that involve infiltrating enemy lines would be considered 'Hard' in difficulty. These missions almost always involve objectives that will require the user to travel outside of their specific realm, or even outside of specific safe zones, depending on the characters type/race. Hard missions are almost always DE; though NDE missions considered 'Hard' in difficulty can exist, they are a rarity, and will involve mission objectives that are much more difficult to complete.[/ul] Note: Very Weak and Weak characters cannot take Hard Missions. Below Average and Average ranked characters must take Hard Missions with at least one other person (Not an NPC). Above Average and Strong ranked character can take Hard Missions alone. Automatic 150 XP per 'Average' Mission Objective that is completed.EXTREME MISSIONS[/i] are those which have an enormous amount of objectives (10+) and are the most challenging missions a character can undertake. These missions can include virtually anything, from mythical beasts to legendary quests, and are nearly certain to severely harm your character. Death is an ever-present factor in Extreme Missions. Extreme Missions always involve meeting up with other PC characters. These missions always involve objectives that will require the user to travel outside of their specific realm, and outside of specific safe zones, depending on the characters type/race. Extreme Missions are always DE.[/ul] Note: Very Weak and Weak characters cannot take Extreme Missions. Below Average and Average ranked characters cannot take Extreme Missions. Above Average and Strong ranked character must take Extreme Missions with at least one other person (Not an NPC). Superior characters can take Extreme Missions alone. Automatic 200 XP per 'Extreme' Mission Objective that is completed.
- Mission Overview
- All missions additionally yield one additional XP Dice Roll per post, per participating Role-player. If training is done while in a mission, that training post will warrant 2 (two) XP Dice Rolls.
- XP Gained in this fashion can be used by the Mission Participants in any way they see fit.
- XP Gained in this fashion is awarded ONLY once the mission has been completed.
- The number of missions a character has completed transfer in the event of that Character's Death.
- A certain number of missions are necessary in order to receive various specific IC bonuses. These bonuses will list their requirements as they are added to the site.
- Hard and Extreme Difficulty Missions must involve a Role-play Moderator.

EVENTS The most effective way to gain XP, the way that yields the largest reward, and the way that involves situations which can effect change across the site, Events, Events are created by staff members/Roleplay Moderators, and are enormous situational predicaments which involve a large number of participants from multiple races/factions, which can be pitted against each other, or against a common RP Moderator controlled enemy/enemies. Events yield the greatest rewards, and are always considered to be between Hard and Extreme Difficulty. Unlike Missions, Events can be entered by ANY character (barring specific restrictions stated in the Event itself, and depending on the nature of the event), regardless of their power tier/rank.
- Event Overview
- All events yield a minimum of 3 XP dice rolls per post, per participating character.
- XP Gained in this fashion can be used by the Event Participants in any way they see fit.
- XP Gained in this fashion is awarded ONLY once the Event has been completed.
- The number of Events a character has completed transfer in the event of that Character's Death.
- A certain number of Events are necessary in order to receive various specific IC bonuses. These bonuses will list their requirements as they are added to the site.
- All events will involve a Roleplay Moderator and/or Staff Member.
